Rotary Reflection
For food in a world where many walk in hunger
For peace in a world where many walk in fear
For friends in a world where many walk alone
And for the opportunity to serve others through Rotary,
May we be truly thankful!
The Loyal Toast
Rotarians and guests, to the King, Canada, and all its Peoples
Acknowledgement of Territory
We are gathered on traditional Anishinaabe (An-ish-in-aabe), Haudenosaunee (ho DEE no Sho nee) and Huron-Wendat Territory. We recognize these nations for their care and stewardship over these lands. We are grateful to be able to join together in Rotary Fellowship to learn, share knowledge, and live on these lands.
Speaker Thanks
Bread has been one of the staples of life throughout history and is seen in its many forms in all cultures.
The breaking and sharing of bread is symbolic of life, peace, and the building of friendships.
This loaf of bread is given to you as a symbol of our friendship and in thanks for sharing with us today.
