Loving Spoonful is an organization which "envisions a resilient community and local food system, thatnourishes all people and supports dignified access to good food." This morning Stephen Gard will talk about what's new with the many programs Loving Spoonful offers in the Kingston area.

C-K Rotary has had a long association with Loving Spoonful, supporting several of their projects in the past.

If you want the board to consider an idea or concern in depth, please ask the president or secretary to put it on the agenda, which is developed a week before the meeting.

The Arnott Lab at Queen's University studies aquatic ecolgy in changing environments. Among the projects of the lab is a study on the effect of road salt on aquatic environments. Seven million tonnes of road salt are used every year in Canada. Join us as Dr. Arnott shares her research and discusses the work of the Arnott Lab.

D'Ari will be updating us on Darkspark's Versions Program, which we have supported in the past. Powered by Darkspark, the VERSIONS Youth Fellowship supports 30 emerging artists of colour from around the world. Throughout the one-year virtual program, Fellows will collaborate with artists, music producers, a network of thought leaders, organizations, and brands.

The group was coached by Olga Ialovenko and their trip was supported in part by several Rotary clubs including RC Cataraqui-Kingston. Hear the story of their preparation, their travels, and their participation in the competition.

Sandi Dodds has been the guiding force behind The Mess Studio Kingston for years. The Mess Studio has built a community around art that helps those living on the fringes of society. The Mess has also attracted a large group of volunteers that help drive their worthwile work.

Join us as we honour Sandi, and hear an update about one of their programs our Club has assisted with.

If you want the board to consider an idea or concern in depth, please ask the president or secretary to put it on the agenda, which is normally developed a week before the meeting.

Join us as Tim Barber, Board Chair of Ryandale Transitional Housing speaks about their 25 years of hepling the homeless in Kingston.

Ryandale is a registered not-for-profit, charitable organization that began as the Ryandale Shelter for the Homeless. The first Ryandale transition house opened in 2010, and now with the assistance of a dedicated team of community partners Ryandale offers transitional housing to 23 people in three houses as they get ready for independent living.
