Star Catchers was supported by our Club through our Fall Community Grants in 2025. The presentation for families will take place on Thursday March 12th at 4:30 pm and club members are invited to join for this event! It is not being opened widely to the public as space is. It should last about 30-40 minutes.

14 Apr 2026 Wendy Huot, Owner of The Screening Room. Kingston's only independent movie theatre. Apr 14, 2026 7:15 AM The Screening Room is a 3-screen independent movie theatre located in the heart of downtown Kingston, Ontario. Since 2011, the cinema has been locally owned & operated by Wendy Huot. She took over from Terry, who owned & ran the cinema for the 10 years prior. Dan Wannemacher founded and built the theatre in the mid-1990’s. We last had Wendy speak to us pre-Covid. She’s back to tell us what’s happened in the movie landscape since then.
