Nikki thanked our Club for the commercial washer and dryer that will be installed shortly at their Robin's Hope Centre. This will enable them to expand their important clothing program to their clients.

Ana Sutherland:

On March 9th we are going to have a joint meeting with Greta’s former Rotary Club, that of Morningside in Johannesburg, South Africa.  Be sure to attend that one! Joint meeting with international partner clubs are always fascinating.
 
 
Scholarship Applications deadline (Global Scholar as well as Peace Fellows) is April 15th...that means your club needs to seek applicants and interview them beforehand.

Queen's Rotaract Club

Hello Rotarians and Friends of Rotary,

I'm pleased to reveal the full details for our Pie Day 2021 Baking Competition on behalf of Easter Seals! Held from March 1st-12th this is a competition where we invite anybody from the community and beyond to 
submit a picture of their pie, alongside a minimum donation of $5, for a chance to win one of four fabulous prizes.

The instructions for entry are as follows:

Step 1: E-Transfer a donation of $5 or greater to queensrotaract@gmail.com (we have auto deposit enabled, so no need for a password)

Step 2: Fill out the google form linked on our event FB Page. Please give your name, email, social media account name, and confirm that you've donated.

Step 3: Post the pie to your social media of choice (FB, Instagram, etc) alongside the hashtag #Pies4ES

Submissions will be judged according to 4 categories:
1. Design
2. Tastiness
3. Creativity
4. Bribery (highest donation)

Winners of categories 1-3 will receive a $10 gift card of their choice, while the winner of category 4 will receive an ironic certificate and congratulatory social media post.

World Understanding Day.– Involving Rotary Alumni - Sun Never Sets in Rotary District 3232 in Chennai India has great pleasure in inviting you to join us celebrate on 23rd Feb 2021 through a novel program  "Sun never sets in Rotary". On 23rd Feb 2021 (Paul Harris's Birthday), which is being celebrated world over as World Understanding day, Rotary Alumni Association of District 3232  along with the District International Service Committee has curated a non-stop  24 hours cycle program involving Alumni associations across the globe on Paul Harris' birthday, quarterbacked by clubs in India. Details will be provided in a separate email to members.

Retired Lawyer
Daughter Regan is a neuropsychologist living in Whitehorse
Graduated from university in Ottawa – travelled for a year
Then, University of Windsor – Law
Practised in Elliott Lake for 15 years and was on the town council for 3 years
Moved to Kingston 1990 – first in general practice, then last 15 years of his work until he retired in December, 2020 was immigration law, particularly in China visiting annually with students coming to Canadian universities. Experienced the continuing development of China over this time.
Joined the Cataraqui-Kingston Rotary Club in 1993/94 and four years later became President

Jim Rymerson discussed the Rotary Cool web site that provides information on the four local Rotary Clubs and 2 Rotarac Clubs. It is all about getting the Rotary story out to the community. The goal is to make it cool/fun
