The Kingston Community House (or “99 York”) is a not-for-profit organization providing safe, comfortable, and inclusive meeting spaces for community groups and individuals. For 40 years the house has served as a gathering point for folks to come together, learn from another, share resources, and trade skills.
KCHSR was a recent grant recipient. Elinor and Bruce told the club how their grant money was being used.

Today we tested equipment in preparation for our move to The Spire where we will soon hold “Hybrid” meetings!

Ceremony and celebration to open a new outdoor learning space at Loughborough Public School in Sydenham. Funded largely by our Cataraqui-Kingston Rotary Club, the circle pays homage to traditional indigenous teachings in connection with all types of learning for all students.

Our first hybrid meeting took place on Tuesday, September 28, at our new venue, The Spire, on Sydenham Street in Kingston.

June 25th marked our Rotary year end. Our club celebrated our achievments of the past year, and President Rick presented some very special awards. A great time was had by all!

Our Club participated in Earth Day by working with LFK. Members of our Club helped to plant some of the 900 little saplings in 3 “Little Forests” in the Kingston area last Fall. A local Grade 6 class helped to unwrap the winter covers.

In the spring of 2018, our club awarded the school a grant of $5,000, to assist with renovations in their new location. They needed to build a washroom within the classroom with toilets and sinks accessible to small children.
