Promoting Indigenous Understanding

1. National Youth to Youth Truth and Reconciliation Experience
   • The club sponsors local youth to participate in this national program, where Indigenous and non-Indigenous students learn together about Indigenous history, cultures, treaties, and the legacy of residential schools. The experience encourages reconciliation, mutual respect, and future leadership.
2. Supporting Indigenous-led education
   • Through grants and partnerships, the club supports organizations and initiatives that foster Indigenous learning, cultural awareness, and community engagement.
3. Educational speakers and programs
   • Club meetings regularly feature presentations by Indigenous leaders, educators, and community organizations, helping members deepen their understanding of Indigenous perspectives and reconciliation.

Promoting World Understanding and Peace

1. Rotary Youth Exchange
   • By sponsoring local students to study abroad and hosting students from other countries, the club helps young people build friendships across cultures, develop language skills, and become global citizens.
2. Youth leadership programs
   • Programs such as Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) and Adventures in Citizenship teach ethical leadership, respect for diversity, democratic values, and responsible citizenship.

4. End Polio Now
   • The club supports Rotary’s global campaign to eradicate polio. Improving health and reducing disease contributes to greater stability and security in vulnerable regions.

   • The club partners with Rotary clubs around the world on sustainable projects that improve living conditions and strengthen communities, fostering international goodwill and cooperation.
