50 years ago, a group of visionaries turned a ship factory and innovative dry dock into a living museum. 

When the federally-owned property was declared surplus a few years ago, concerned and generous citizens not only saved the site for the public good, but garnered the resources to rejuvenate the building, its resources, and its programs, and make a fascinating place for all ages to learn. 

At the Sept 2nd morning meeting of the Rotary Club of Cataraqui-Kingston, Museum board director Linda Ann Daly with development officer Anita Mercier told the story of the labour of love that brought it back to life.
